Reno Baby! and books

I'm into reading books. Partly because I like to look smart and partly because I like what I read. If you're into books I want to encourage you to check out the group I've set up on my favorite book site, Shelfari. You'll have to join (it's free) and also join the group, but it could be good to suggest books and talk about them if anyone is interested.

Was at a Community Advisory Board meeting for KNPB this afternoon ... talking about what "localism" (is that even a word?) means for a tv station. Whipped out my phone & got online so I could reel off examples from Jim Scripps quintessential Reno thread.

Suggested they look at a show that bridges old/new media - a weekly "reporting from the blogosphere" or something like that. They started whining about not being able to afford the researchers ... might be an opportunity there.

Ryan, Elaine from my Toastmaster's group turned me on to Reno Baby. It appears to be a nice spot to get to know Reno people, for those of us that are just moving her from South Lake Tahoe.

Thanks for your work, we will look forward to getting to know you and others on this site.

Hey fellow Ning network creator. I see your network is off the Ning platform. Any reason you've decided to take it off the code? Is it possible for you to grab the newly updated group code, I was hoping to get some RSS feeds on mine.

Thanks

Whats up Jerz? I heard you have created quite a stir for passing on a "coffee date" with the x soccer coach? I also hear your eating odd body parts of animals? I hate to ask what else your up to. (FYI... the "whats up Jerz?" comment at the beginning of my post was more of a rhetorical question by the way. I may not actually want to know the answer to that).

All I'm saying is - testicle festival - really? hope you got some great footage. We sampled three "mountain oyster" booths, then headed in outta the snow for boozing up the rest of the day. Um, couple of us got "food poisoning" about 2 am on Sunday. Not Pretty.
