- I've been fortunate to have wonderful family and friends throughout my life.
So far, my first 32 years have been great!
Life experiences include one decade U.S. military service, where I served as a paratrooper journalist; living in Northern Italy for 2 years and visiting 26 countries, graduating UNR in 2004, owning a real estate photography business, and running twice for political office.
I ran for the Reno City Council in 2006 and received 43% of the vote.
In 2008, I ran for the Washoe County School Board and received 65% of the vote and became a Washoe County School Board trustee. Such an honor! The assignment is:
* making education better,
* helping the youth,
* getting things accomplished,
* effective political leadership.
During first 7 months, the WCSB passed a budget that keeps schools open and teachers teaching, hired new superintendent Heath Morrison, completed the 2009 high school graduations, and tackled numerous other endeavors.
The most recent professional experiences I've learned include copy/print sales, non-profit leadership, education leadership, and medical field technical experience. This rounds out past professional experience, earned during 9+ years of productive local employment.
