- If you haven’t yet been a part of the annual Reno-Tahoe Odyssey relay race, you’re missing out!
For experienced runners and novices alike; the Reno-Tahoe Odyssey relay is 178 miles of beautiful landscapes across Lake Tahoe, the Sierra Nevada Mountains and historic sites, such as Virginia City. Teams of 12 divvy up 36 legs of the race, running about 4 to 8 miles, over anywhere from 18 to 35 hours. With many fun contests, such as a team name competition, as well as a spirit of camaraderie and a just-out-to-have-a-good-time attitude the Reno-Tahoe Odyssey is a relay race you will want to run.
The race will take place on May 29 and 30, and registration is now open. Check out the website to see the course, choose which legs you want to run and sign up for the fifth annual Reno-Tahoe Odyssey at www.renotahoeodyssey.com. You can also visit the Reno-Tahoe Odyssey Facebook page to become a fan and meet others attending the 2009 event. There will be a cap on the number of teams, so don’t wait too long to register.
