I'm intrigued by the idea of waiving building permit fees ... but wonder about the precedent? Would it only be for businesses we wanted to encourage downtown?

Always tough for downtown reside...
Wow, now that's an idea that's been around for a long time. I hope it does happen, sooner than later.

I finally (after 3 years) turned in my California Driver's License and got
a Nevada Driver's License (early October 2008).
Heavy engagement in Democratic Party scene, as precinct capt, etc., for over two years. (God knows why, in hindsight!).
I am basicly just a Crazy, God-Intoxicated person, the type you cross the street to avoid! (Wise move, btw. I carry a walking cane now.)
Looking forward to checking out the dharma scene in Reno, not that I've left the political volunteer scene. (May take a little detox time.)
I am very happy that Obama appears to be on his way (mid Oct. 2008) to becoming the 44th President of the United States.
