Yeah, Powning Park is immediately to the south of the Pioneer Center for Performing Arts. It is now the home to a series of war memorials. I understand that Powning left that to the City, with a requirement that it be park space. It's a pleasant place to read during the lunch hour (when the wind isn't too strong.)
In under the #200 mark -- gotta count for some extra points I say.

Real Name
That is my real name!
About Me:
I work for the City of Reno in the City Manager's Office. I love the explosive Reno arts scene, and even participate in it by writing and performing original music on guitar. I'm also curious about Reno history, and was part of the group that raised the money and then commissioned the life-size bronze statue of General Jessie Reno, the man after whom the city was named, in Powning Park.
Favorite Reno Bar
Dreamers will sell you a beer or a wine ... does that count?
Favorite place to grab a cheap meal
Woody's or any of the other wheeled vendors along the river.
