Well, it so happens that the wife and I are looking to buy a car soon, preferably something that comfortably fits me, wife, two little ones and a pile 'o crap. We keep hearing about all of these sweet deals... but can't seem to find proof on any from the local dealers. Anyone have any thoughts?

Hi Patrick. We just got a 2004 Nissan Xterra with only 30,000 miles at Internet Auto for $8,000.....not sure if that's a great deal but the numbers all seemed to work out. They have a great 2005 silver Audi Wagon at the Audi dealership for $25,000 and a Q7 for $35,000 -- that's a great deal considering they are $60,000 usually. My hubby and I are car shopping as well!

Thanks for the feedback! Actually the wife picked up a new 2008 Honda Odyssey EX-L last weekend. I cannot believe we own a minivan... seriously. Two kids and a big dog... it's just so damn practical. Anyway, we got it at Michael Hohl in Carson. The sticker was $34,500 and we ended up at $28,500. From all of the research I had done, that was as good a deal as we could find.

FYI, we looked at a really nice certified pre-owned Q7 at Lithia Audi... and it was only $33k. That was the cheapest I could find on the internet anywhere in the US... and the certified pre-owned is worth it's weight in gold. I have no idea if they were telling us the truth or not, but they showed us their invoice for it and they owed like $38k on it. Great deal if you're looking for one!

I prefer to go through Lee Brothers Leasing. The guys down there are really good at finding the vehicle you want for the price you want to pay. Don't be mislead by the Leasing part of their name. I just bought my 08 Tundra from them for a great deal.
