Anyone visited Amelia’s Restaurant? I recently read that they produce a pretty mean sandwich AND have a heck of a view of the RNO tarmac...

How about Steamboat Hot Springs? Thinking of visiting and having a massage?

Finally, Soak Salon (sorry I think I've asked about this previously).....

Hey! Well, I've been to Steamboat Hot Springs a few times. I can't say about the massage, because I haven't done that, but I have soaked a few times in thier tubs, and found that quite relaxing, though not as glamorous as it sounded. But they are a great little place to visit ...

I have been to Soak a few times and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is top notch. The manicurists are friendly. And did I mention that they have a liquor license? You definitely pay a bit for the experience, but you leave feeling it was money well spent. Each month brings a different specialty pedicure. (This month, coffee.) Great gift idea as well.

You can go in to Soak completely stressed out and, an hour later, be completely calm. There is nothing like that combination of foot massage and cocktail!

Thanks for the comments. I loved talking with the folks at Soak Salon, they were a riot! We are going directly from the plane to baggage claim to Soak for a cocktail (or 2) and the seasonal special.

As for Steamboat, I've been to all of the spas in Reno and am looking for something different. I frequented a place in Idaho Springs, Colorado and this reminded me of it. Low key, kinda funky, no fru-fru....

However, I'm still curious about the place out by the airport.....

Amelia's ... great place and yes they have both! I work near by and have never been disappointed and have met a few clients for lunch as well...
