Some exciting news: finally a home builder in Northern Nevada is tapping into one of the area's best attributes (300+ days of sun) to reduce their impact on the environment and help to preserve our great quality of life in Northern Nevada.

That's right, Hamilton Homes a local, family owned builder will begin to offer solar as a standard feature on all of their new homes. Not sure of all the details, but according to their website (http://www.hamiltonhomesnevada.com/bothsidesofgreen.html) August 21st will be the beginning of what I hope is a paradigm shift in the construction of new homes. Who knows what's next, perhaps residential wind power as a standard option?

Great news Nick. If you'd like to promote your website for free, please join our eco-forum at www.projectecobrand.com. I'm sure there are a few people there that would like to know about this new development!

The Hamiltons are awesome! Great people. I'm stoked about their solar community for a lot of reasons, but it's doubly awesome because they're using this new solar technology that's built into the roof shingles. So you don't end up with a bunch of big, fat solar panels on your roof -- it looks really chic.
