LOL, See guys, now you're in...I can't believe I was actually considered part of the "in group" at Reno Baby! LOL
Why don't we all figure out good days for people then just meet up for a drink at Sierra Tap House...it's still kind of considered Artownish down there so we'll be supporting Reno.
There are a lot of people on this site that don't even really talk, but I'm a total social networker and they may not be...who knows? I'm just sitting in front of a computer all day at work so I have lots of opportunity.
We do need more events posted too. I notice there is a lot of stuff going on in town not put up.
So about Twitter...never heard of it. But wouldn't it be easier just to have one big ass Reno networking site and then just myspace...I was on facebook and I hated it.
all right now i'm just jibber jabbering cause I'm bored to DEATH at work...sllllooow week...Hey there is a discussion....brb
Twitter is like an Instant Messenger or Text Messaging, but a single message goes out to anyone who subscribes to your messages. So, you get real-time updates on what bars people are hanging out at, or what kind of shenanigans someone is getting into. You can get these updates directly to your phone via text message, but I only recommend this for your close circle of friends or if you have an unlimited text plan and dont mind reading through the riff-raff for the good stuff.
We can even look into creating a Reno Baby group so that anyone can post into the group, and everyone subscribing to Reno Baby will get the message. That way, you only have to subscribe to a single user to get updates on anyone on Reno Baby that is using Twitter.
I didn't say bad - I said prolific. I love following the conversations - but I have to follow you three on my pc (now that's uncool - would love to make the leap back to macs); you were totally swamping my phone.
Have to agree - the social networking world IS mostly peopled by internet marketing peeps. That makes sense - it's your job to be up to speed on all of this.
